The Drysdale Clinic was established in 1984 at 36 Princess street, Drysdale. Dr David Walder and Dr David Unkenstein joined the clinic in 1995 and 1996. On the 16th of October 2000, the Drysdale Clinic was relocated to a brand new premises built by Dr Walder and Dr Unkenstein, it’s current location, at 15 Collins street, Drysdale.
The Clinic has undertaken further extensions in 2007, 2010 and 2011 to accommodate the growing population in the town and the increased number of Doctors and allied health professionals working within the practice.
In 2013 Dr Faisal Murad and Dr Brynn Harrop joined Dr Walder and Dr Unkenstein as partners in the practice.
Currently the practice employs eleven Doctors, a Practice Manager, seven Practice Nurses, seven Receptionists, a Podiatrist, and a Dietitian.
Staff regularly participate in education and professional development sessions to maintain a high standard throughout the practice.
An onsite Melbourne Pathology service is available weekdays from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
The Drysdale Clinic has close ties with all local hospitals, specialists and allied health professionals. The clinic prides itself in providing a platform for medical students to further their training and knowledge. Each year the Drysdale Clinic has numerous medical students working alongside our practice principals to learn and assist with the completion of their studies. The clinic also encourages and provides a GP Registrar the opportunity to be employed at the Drysdale Clinic for a year or more to complete their training requirements prior to completing their final exam to gain their Fellowship.
The practice principals are also instrumental in assisting local schools in educating teens on a variety of important health topics.
A family medical practice on the Bellarine Peninsula, supporting local sporting and other groups through sponsorship and personal involvement, the Drysdale Clinic welcomes all patients new and ongoing, young and old.
