Medicare Bulk Billing Changes from 1 July 2026

From 1 July the Australian Government will be changing the Medicare Assignment of Benefit (AoB) process to a digital system.

What does this mean for you?

If you are bulk billed for your appointment, you’ll need to give your consent digitally — this is called an “Assignment of Benefit.” It’s simply your agreement to allow Medicare to pay your benefit directly to us as full payment for your visit.

📱 After your appointment, you may receive a text message with a secure link to complete this quickly on your phone or you will be asked to return to reception to assign your benefit.
