Dr Gabrielle Jones

Originally from the Bellarine Peninsula, Gabby relocated to Adelaide to complete her medical training and graduated from Flinders Medical School in 2015. She went on to complete her residency and Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) at Barwon Health. In 2021, Dr Gabby achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has since also attained her Rural Generalist Fellowship, recognising her commitment to rural health in western Victoria since 2019.

Dr. Gabby is passionate about all facets of general practice, with a particular focus on women’s health across all life stages, perinatal care, pregnancy options, and paediatric medicine. Outside of her days in general practice she works in a multidisciplinary paediatric clinic as well as hospital antenatal clinic. Gabby is accredited for shared pregnancy care with Barwon Health and is also undergoing additional training in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (The Possums approach). This approach emphasizes evidence-based strategies for breastfeeding, managing infant cry-fuss behaviours, improving sleep, and addressing parental mood concerns. Additionally, she offers intrauterine device (IUD) insertions, including Mirena, Kyleena, and copper options.

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Gabby cherishes time with her family, which includes her two young children and two groodles. She enjoys outdoor activities at the beach or in the snow and loves cooking for celebrations with friends.
