HOURS Monday-Friday 8.00am-5.00pm
  Saturday 9.00am-12.00pm

AFTER HOURS- In the event of an emergency outside of normal hours, the doctor on call can be contacted by ringing the normal clinic number of 52512865.

APPOINTMENTS- To minimise delay all consultations are by appointment. You can usually expect to spend ten-fifteen minutes with your doctor, but this may change if there have been emergencies or if the surgery is very busy. If you wish you can phone the surgery before your appointment or ask on arrival whether your doctor is running on time. We ask that you make a double appointment for minor surgical procedures and any insurance or medical examinations requiring reports, or problems that you think may take a longer time. Should you be unable to keep your appointment we appreciate your earliest possible notification, so that another patient may be offered the appointment time.

VISITS- These are usually done in the doctor’s lunch break between 1.00 and 2.00pm. We ask that requests for visits are limited to when you are too ill to attend the surgery. The doctors also do visits to nursing homes, hostels and hospitals on the Bellarine Peninsula and in Geelong.

TELEPHONE CALLS- We try to keep interruptions to your consultation to a minimum. Telephone calls will be answered by our receptionists and they will be forwarded to the doctor if urgent, or a message will be given to the doctor who will return calls at a later time.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS- In certain circumstances, where medically appropriate, prescriptions for continuing medications may be written without a consultation. A fee is charged for this service. Requests may be made by phone, letter or calling at the surgery. The doctor requires 24 hours notice to check the patient history, the medication and to enter it into the history.

CONSULTATION FEES- There are three different fee structures. Most consultations are charged at slightly less than the recommended AMA fee. Those people holding a healthcare card or pension card are charged a greatly reduced fee. Veterans Affairs patients, nursing home patients and childhood immunisations are all bulk billed. After hours calls will incur an increased consultation fee in line with AMA rates. Any person experiencing financial difficulties should discuss their situation with the doctor. Normally you will be given an account at the end of the consultation and immediate payment is greatly appreciated. Payment may be made by cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS.

STERILISATION OF INSTRUMENTS- All needles and surgical instruments used in this practice are disposable or sterilised by autoclaving for each and every patient.

SERVICES- The doctors in this clinic have a range of interests which include children’s health, women’s health, men’s health, travel medicine, sports medicine, geriatrics, minor surgical procedures, antenatal care and full obstetric care. The doctors are also involved in local community medical presentations and the clinic sponsors a number of  local community groups and events. For any further information enquiries may be made to our receptionists.
